Our Story

Meet Us:

Hello! We are Ryon and Liz. What started as a pandemic hobby turned into a passion we continually try to improve. After our Halloween wedding in 2019 the pandemic caused us to put a halt on our lives and explore hobbies we may have never expanded to. With our love of all things horror we started our own Meadery, Archaic Alcohols. We have since expanded our business and hope to continue growing along with our family.

We brew our own mead with a horror twist, all of which is brewed in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Currently we have one location ran by us in our beloved hometown in Avery County. Each bottle has a story of the creation of our characters on it, with a penchant for our dark humor. Each of our bottles are hand filled and hand labelled by us.
